Mohan Pandithage currently holds the position of Chairman and Chief Executive of Hayleys PLC and has been an integral part of the transformation of the Advantis Group. He was appointed to the board of Hayleys Advantis in 1989. With a distinguished career as an industry veteran and a revered leader in transportation and logistics, Mr. Pandithage has garnered accolades such as the ‘Best Shipping Personality’ Award from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, recognising his outstanding contributions to the industry.

In addition to this, he has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Seatrade – Sri Lanka Ports, Trade, and Logistics (SLPTL) and the prestigious Pinnacle Lifetime Award from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), being the first Sri Lankan to receive this honour. Acknowledging his invaluable services to Sri Lanka’s logistics industry, he has been inducted as a ‘Legend of Logistics’ by the Sri Lanka Logistics and Freight Forwarding Association.

Mr. Pandithage’s influence extends beyond the corporate realm, as he serves as the Honorary Consul of the United Mexican States (Mexico) to Sri Lanka. His professional affiliations include being a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK), a Member of the Advisory Council of the Ceylon Association of Shipping Agents (CASA), and a Council Member of the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon.

Mr. Ruwan Waidyaratne’s journey with the Advantis Group commenced in 1985, marking the beginning of a distinguished career trajectory within the organisation. His ascent within the ranks highlights his commitment and contributions to the company’s success.

In 1996, Mr. Waidyaratne assumed the role of Director in a subsidiary company, showcasing his strategic acumen and leadership capabilities. By July 2002, he had earned a position as a Director of the Hayleys Advantis Group, further solidifying his integral role in the organisation.

His progression continued as he took on the role of Deputy Managing Director in January 2010, a testament to his exceptional leadership qualities. Subsequently, in February 2011, Mr. Waidyaratne was appointed to the prestigious Hayleys Group Management Committee, highlighting his strategic influence within the broader corporate structure.

The pinnacle of his career within the Advantis Group came in April 2011 when he was appointed as the Managing Director. This was complemented by his role as an Executive Director of Hayleys PLC in April 2013, showcasing the depth of his responsibilities and influence across the entire Hayleys conglomerate.

In addition to his pivotal roles within the Hayleys Group, Mr. Waidyaratne serves as the Deputy Chairman of Unisyst Engineering PLC. His leadership extends beyond the organisation, as evidenced by his past roles as the Chairman of the Ceylon Association of Shipping Agents (CASA) and the Sri Lanka Logistics and Freight Forwarders’ Association (SLFFA).

Being a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport of Sri Lanka (CILT) reflects Mr. Waidyaratne’s commitment to professional excellence. He also holds the position of Vice President of the Sri Lanka – Japan Business Council, serves as a Council Member representing the Transport & Logistics Group at the Council of the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC), and chairs the EDB Advisory Committee on the Logistics Sector.

Mr. Waidyaratne’s academic achievements include earning an MBA from the Edith Cowan University of Western Australia. He has further enriched his executive skills through participation in development programmes with the National University of Singapore, Indian School of Business, and INSEAD, highlighting his dedication to continuous learning and professional growth.

Dr. Asanka Ratnayake joined the Hayleys Advantis Group in 1988, embarking on a distinguished career within the organisation. His leadership journey evolved significantly, reflecting progression through key roles that underscore his commitment and impact.

In 2003, Dr. Ratnayake assumed the role of Director in a subsidiary company, marking a pivotal point in his strategic involvement. Demonstrating his strategic prowess, he became a Member of the Group Management Committee of Hayleys Advantis Limited in 2008, solidifying his role in the broader corporate strategy. In February 2010, he achieved another significant milestone by securing a Directorship within the same organisation.

In 2022, Dr. Ratnayake was appointed Deputy Managing Director of the Group, a testament to his leadership capabilities and strategic vision.

Academically, Dr. Ratnayake holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree from the International University of America, having successfully completed his PhD at the Post Graduate Institute of Business Management. Additionally, he possesses an MBA from the University of Wales and a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK). He is also a Member of Certified Management Accountants, Australia, reflecting his dedication to professional excellence.

Beyond his corporate pursuits, Dr. Ratnayake has actively contributed to various business councils, showcasing his commitment to fostering international business relations. He served as the Former President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, he held the position of Former President of the Sri Lanka – France Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce from 2016 to 2018. Notably, he served as the President of the Sri Lanka – U.S.A. Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce from 2019 to 2021, further emphasising his dedication to promoting business ties between Sri Lanka and the United States.

Mr. Sabar became a part of the Hayleys Advantis Group in 1985, initiating a longstanding association with the organisation. His professional journey within the group has been marked by key milestones and leadership roles.

In 1999, Mr. Sabar was appointed as a Director to a subsidiary company, showcasing his early contributions to the strategic direction of the organisation. His ascent continued as he joined the Group Management Committee in April 2007. Following a three-year assignment in Malaysia at a senior management level for one of the largest European-based global container carriers, Mr. Sabar re-joined the Hayleys Advantis Group in May 2011, resuming his role as a Member of the Group Management Committee.

In recognition of his leadership and expertise, he was appointed to the Board of Hayleys Advantis Group in September 2013. His career reached another pinnacle in 2022 when he was appointed Deputy Managing Director of the Group, underscoring his continued impact and strategic vision.

Currently, Mr. Sabar serves as the Chairman of the Ceylon Association of Shipping Agents (CASA), adding a significant dimension to his leadership portfolio. Academically, he holds an MBA from the University of Wales (UK), and he has further honed his executive skills through development programmes with the National University of Singapore and the Indian School of Business.

Mr. Virendra Perera was appointed Chief Strategy Officer of the Advantis Group in 2017, bringing over 25 years of experience in strategic planning, operations, and analytics. He serves as a Member of the Group Management Committee and was appointed Country Head/Executive Director of Advantis Singapore in February 2023. In November 2023, Mr. Perera assumed the role of Group Finance Director and secured a position as a Board Director of Hayleys Advantis Limited.

His professional journey includes significant roles both locally and internationally in reputable organisations. Mr. Perera has been actively involved in industry associations, having served as Past Treasurer and Director of the Sri Lanka Association of Software and Service Companies (SLASSCOM) from 2014 to 2015. He also held a position on the Advisory Board of the Business Process Management (BPM) forum by SLASSCOM in 2021/22. Furthermore, he was a past Director of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA), Sri Lanka, from 2007 to 2010.

Mr. Perera holds various professional memberships, including being an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) UK, a Charter holder of the CFA Institute USA, a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), and an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.

Mrs. Sriyamal Gamage became a part of the Hayleys Advantis Group in 1982, marking the commencement of a longstanding and impactful journey within the organisation. Her professional trajectory within the group has been characterised by progressive roles and significant achievements.

In 1996, Mrs. Gamage was appointed as a Director to a subsidiary company, illustrating her early contributions to shaping the strategic direction of the organisation. Her leadership journey continued as she assumed the role of a Member of the Group Management Committee of Hayleys Advantis Limited in April 2007. Recognising her strategic acumen, she was further appointed as a Director in May 2011.

Mrs. Gamage holds the distinguished title of a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK), showcasing her commitment to professional excellence and proficiency in financial management. Additionally, she is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, highlighting her multifaceted expertise in logistics and transportation. Furthermore, she holds an MBA from the University of Colombo. Her diverse skill set, combining financial acumen with logistics expertise, positions her as a valuable and well-rounded leader within the Hayleys Advantis Group.

Mr. Janitha Jayanetti joined the Hayleys Advantis Group in 1998, marking the commencement of his longstanding association with the organisation. His professional journey within the group has been characterised by steady progression and notable contributions.

In 2011, Mr. Jayanetti was appointed as a Director to a subsidiary company, illustrating his early involvement in shaping the strategic direction of the Projects & Engineering cluster of the organisation. His leadership trajectory continued as he assumed the role of a Member of the Group Management Committee of Hayleys Advantis Limited in January 2015 and a Board Director of the Advantis Group in July 2022.

In addition to his roles within the Hayleys Advantis Group, Mr. Jayanetti serves on the Board of Unisyst Engineering PLC, adding a broader perspective to his leadership portfolio.

Academically, Mr. Jayanetti holds a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa. Furthermore, he holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration specialising in Management Technology, also from the University of Moratuwa. His educational background reflects a combination of engineering proficiency and business management skills.

Mr. Jayanetti has also played an active role in professional associations, having served as a former Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Association of Container Depot Operators, showcasing his commitment to industry collaboration and development.

Captain Lasitha Cumaratunga, a former Master Mariner, joined the Hayleys Advantis Group in 2002, bringing a wealth of maritime expertise to the organisation. In 2006, Captain Cumaratunga’s leadership capabilities were recognised with his appointment as a Director of a subsidiary company. His journey within the organisation continued to ascend as he became a Member of the Group Management Committee in March 2009 and, in July 2022, secured a position as a Board Director of Hayleys Advantis Limited.

Currently serving as the Technical Director of Marine Operations, Captain Cumaratunga plays a pivotal role in overseeing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Corporate Sustainability at Hayleys Advantis. His commitment to industry standards is highlighted by his status as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (FCILT). Captain Cumaratunga also served as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Branch of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport from 2016 to 2018.

His dedication to maritime professionalism is further underscored by his status as an Associate Fellow of the Nautical Institute (AFNI) and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (MICS).

Mr. Liyanage joined the Advantis Group in 2000, embarking on a distinguished career that spans over two decades, marked by his extensive expertise in logistics, operations, and IT systems.

In 2002, Mr. Liyanage was appointed as Logistics Manager, a pivotal role that set the foundation for his leadership journey. He was later promoted to CEO of Logiwiz Limited, a subsidiary of the Advantis Group, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership and operational management skills. His strategic contributions were further recognised in 2009 when he was appointed to the prestigious Committee of Management of the Advantis Group. In this role, he oversaw integrated logistics and supply chain management services across several Asian countries, significantly enhancing the group’s regional footprint.

In 2015, Mr. Liyanage expanded his horizons by moving overseas to serve as General Manager-3PL (Retail) at 20Cube Logistics Pty Ltd in Melbourne, Australia. His international experience was further enriched when he assumed the role of Director/Operations Manager at Haycarb Holdings Aust Pty in Melbourne in 2016. There, he was involved in the expansion of Haycarb’s business in Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific regional countries, as well as in streamlining the company’s supply chain. He held this position until March 2024.

Upon his return to Sri Lanka in 2024, Mr. Liyanage was appointed to the Board and the Group Management Committee of the Advantis Group, a testament to his strategic vision and dedication to operational excellence. His leadership continues to drive the group’s success and competitive edge in the global market.

Academically, Mr. Liyanage is pursuing a Master’s in Cyber Security at RMIT Melbourne, where he has already earned a Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security. He holds an MBA Post Graduate Diploma in Management of Technology and a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Additionally, he is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute Inc. and holds a CIMA certification from the UK, emphasising his commitment to continuous professional development.

Mr. Liyanage is actively involved in various professional affiliations, including the Australian Information Security Association, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport UK, the Warehouse Education Research Council (WERC) in the USA, the Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka, and the Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia. His extensive experience and academic qualifications highlight his strategic leadership and expertise, driving the ongoing success and innovation of the Advantis Group.

Mr. Sarath Ganegoda is a seasoned professional with a diverse and accomplished career. He was appointed to the Board of Dipped Products PLC in October 2009. He is a Fellow Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) and a Member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Australia.

Throughout his career, Mr. Ganegoda has held several senior management positions in large private sector entities, both in Sri Lanka and overseas. Currently, he holds key responsibilities as the head of the Strategic Business Development Unit and Group Information Technology at Hayleys PLC.

Beyond his corporate roles, Mr. Ganegoda serves as the Deputy Chairman of Alumex PLC and holds directorships on the Boards of prominent companies within the Hayleys Group.

Mr. Aravinda Perera, an Independent Non-Executive Director appointed to the Board of Hayleys Advantis Limited in May 2017, brings over 40 years of experience in the banking sector. Notably, he served as the Managing Director of Sampath Bank PLC from January 1, 2012, until his retirement in September 2016.

Currently, Mr. Perera holds key positions on various Boards, including Chairman of Singer Finance Lanka PLC, Deputy Chairman of Pan Asia Banking Corporation PLC, and Managing Director of Royal Cermaics Lanka PLC. He also serves as a Director for Rocell Bathware Ltd, SNAPS Residencies Pvt Ltd, and Kosgulana Hydro Company Ltd.

In addition to his directorial roles, Mr. Perera chairs the Audit committees of Hayleys PLC, Hayleys Aventura Private Ltd, Hayleys Advantis Ltd, and Fentons Ltd. His extensive professional affiliations include being a Member of the Institute of Engineers (Sri Lanka) (MIESL) and a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.). Furthermore, he is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) (FCMA) and a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers – Sri Lanka (FIB).

Mr. Perera has received notable accolades, including the “CEO Leadership Achievement Award 2016” by the Asian Banker magazine and the “Platinum Honours – 2014” Award by the Postgraduate Institute of Management Alumni (PIMA) of Sri Jayawardenapura University. Recognised for his outstanding contribution to the banking industry, he received the “Award for the Outstanding Contribution to the Banking Industry – 2015” by the Association of Professional Bankers and was granted Honorary Life Membership by the Association of Professional Bankers in October 2018.

Mr. Arjun Senaratna, appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director to the Board of Hayleys Advantis Limited in April 2009, brings a wealth of experience to the organisation. From 2005 to 2011, he served as a Non-Executive Board Director of Hayleys PLC. With a background encompassing extensive international senior management roles across various industries and sectors, Mr. Senaratna is well-equipped to contribute valuable insights to the Board.

He holds the designation of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA, CMA Canada) and continues to serve as a Non-Executive Board Director of Haycarb PLC and Haycarb USA Inc, further showcasing his commitment to strategic leadership within the Hayleys Group.

Mr. Rangalle, appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director to the Board of Hayleys Advantis Group in January 2019, brings a wealth of experience from his distinguished career in the Government (Public) Sector. As a retired Senior Commissioner of the Department of Inland Revenue (Special Grade), he boasts over 34 years of expertise, with 31 years specifically dedicated to Tax Administration in roles ranging from Assessor to Senior Commissioner.

His academic qualifications include a Master of Commerce degree and a Bachelor of Commerce Special Degree from the University of Kelaniya. Furthermore, Mr. Rangalle has pursued advanced studies towards a Doctoral Degree at the Open University of Malaysia. A fellow member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Taxation, he has also shared his knowledge as a visiting lecturer at various institutions, including the University of Kelaniya, Malabe Campus (SLIIT), the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Business School, and the Sri Lanka Institute of Taxation.

Mr. Rangalle’s contributions extend beyond the academic realm, as he has served as a former member of the Executive Council at the Sri Lanka Institute of Taxation. Currently, he holds Non-Executive Director positions on the boards of LB Finance PLC, Fentons Limited, DHS Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, Hayleys Aventura (Pvt) Ltd, Multi Finance PLC, and Flying Angel’s Flight Academy (Pvt) Ltd, showcasing his commitment to guiding these organisations with his wealth of expertise.

Mr. Victoria became a part of the Hayleys Group in 2010 and currently holds the position of Director/Chief Executive Officer overseeing the Travel & Aviation Cluster at Hayleys Advantis. He was appointed to the Hayleys Advantis Group Management Committee in 2019. With over 40 years of experience in the aviation and travel industry, Mr. Victoria has demonstrated his expertise through various leadership roles within prominent conglomerates in Sri Lanka.

His proficiency extends across key industry domains, encompassing passenger and cargo airline operations, travel management, airport operations, and agency representation, among others. Additionally, Mr. Victoria serves as the Immediate Past President of the Sri Lanka – Australia – New Zealand Business Council and holds an Executive Committee Membership in both the Sri Lanka – Indonesia Business Council and the Sri Lanka – Germany Business Council.

Mr. Victoria has previously held significant roles in industry representations, including presidencies of the Sri Lanka Association of Airline Representatives and the Travel Agents Association of Sri Lanka. He also served as the Secretary of the IATA Agents Association of Sri Lanka. Furthermore, Mr. Victoria has actively participated in multiple strategic leadership development programmes, both locally and internationally.

Mr. Victoria became a part of the Hayleys Group in 2010 and currently holds the position of Director/Chief Executive Officer overseeing the Travel & Aviation Cluster at Hayleys Advantis. He was appointed to the Hayleys Advantis Group Management Committee in 2019. With over 40 years of experience in the aviation and travel industry, Mr. Victoria has demonstrated his expertise through various leadership roles within prominent conglomerates in Sri Lanka.

His proficiency extends across key industry domains, encompassing passenger and cargo airline operations, travel management, airport operations, and agency representation, among others. Mr. Chintaka de Zoysa became a part of the Hayleys Advantis Group in 2002, accumulating more than 23 years of expertise in the logistics industry. In 2014, he was appointed as a Director to a subsidiary company, and in July 2022, he became a Member of the Group Management Committee of Hayleys Advantis Limited.

An Economics graduate from the University of Delhi, Mr. De Zoysa has furthered his executive education in Marketing & Supply Chain Management from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management in Kolkata and Ahmadabad. His academic background and extensive industry experience contribute to his comprehensive understanding of the logistics landscape.

Mr. Abeysundere joined Hayleys Advantis Limited in 2007 and has since played a significant role in the company’s growth. In 2016, he was appointed as a Director to a subsidiary company, showcasing his commitment and leadership within the organisation. Furthering his impact, Mr. Abeysundere was appointed as a Member of the Group Management Committee of Hayleys Advantis Limited in July 2022.

With over 40 years of rich experience, Mr. Abeysundere has served in various capacities with premier blue-chip conglomerates in Sri Lanka, spanning both the private and public sectors. His expertise encompasses diverse industry verticals, including plantations, agribusiness, production, manufacturing, and supply chain management.

Currently, Mr. Abeysundere provides strategic direction to multiple Business Units under the Integrated Logistics (IL) Cluster of Advantis. Additionally, he oversees the Operational Excellence Unit of the IL cluster, the Group Business Excellence Unit, and the operations of the Group in Bangladesh. He holds the distinction of being a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT) and a Graduate Member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors, reflecting his commitment to professional excellence.

Mr. Sagara Peiris became a part of the Hayleys Advantis Group in September 1993, contributing to a dedicated service for over 30 years within the organisation. In recognition of his expertise and commitment, he was appointed as a Director to a subsidiary company in 2018. Moreover, in July 2022, Mr. Peiris earned the distinction of being appointed as a Member of the Group Management Committee of Hayleys Advantis Limited.

His areas of expertise encompass shipping, integrated logistics, Ro-Ro terminal automobile quality management, agency, and general management. Mr. Peiris holds the esteemed status of being a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka (CPM) and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Sri Lanka (CILT). This dual recognition underlines his professional standing and commitment to excellence in the field.

Mrs. Chamila Bandara is a seasoned transportation and logistics specialist, bringing over 27 years of managerial experience gained from multinational manufacturing companies and local diversified conglomerates. Her journey with the Hayleys Advantis Group began in 2007, where she has significantly contributed to the organisation’s success.

In July 2022, Mrs. Bandara earned the distinction of being appointed as a member of the Advantis Group Management Committee, a testament to her leadership skills and strategic insights. She currently serves as a Director of Advantis Express (Pvt) Ltd, the licensed operator for FedEx, and IML Delivery Systems Pvt Ltd (Citypak).

As an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants – UK (CIMA), Mrs. Bandara holds a Post Graduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing – UK (CIM) and an Executive MBA from the University of West London. Her commitment to professional development is further demonstrated by her role as the Vice President of the Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA) and her position as a founding Member of the “Women Corporate Directors” – Sri Lanka Chapter. Mrs. Bandara’s multifaceted expertise and active engagement in industry associations underscore her standing as a distinguished professional in the field.

Mr. Arosha Fernando joined Hayleys Advantis Limited in 1993, bringing with him a wealth of experience exceeding 30 years in various domains including liner shipping, international freight forwarding, air and passenger cargo, marine and offshore logistics, express freight, relocation, marine craft operations, bunker operations, and marine cargo surveys.

Since 2013, he has been at the helm of operations in the Maldives, demonstrating his leadership and operational prowess. In 2015, Mr. Fernando was appointed as a Director to a subsidiary, and his contributions were further acknowledged when he became a Member of the Group Management Committee of Hayleys Advantis Limited in October 2022.

A distinguished professional, Mr. Fernando holds the esteemed title of Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). He is also recognised as a Chartered Marketer and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), along with being a Fellow Member and Chartered Shipbroker of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) in the UK.

Currently pursuing continuous academic development, Mr. Fernando is engaged in an MBA programme at the Asia e-University and a Doctor of Business Administration at Lincoln University College.

Mr. Perera joined the Hayleys Advantis Group in 1996 and has since played a pivotal role within the organisation. His journey of over 26 years has seen significant milestones, including his appointment as a Director to a subsidiary company in 2019.

In recognition of his expertise and contributions, Mr. Perera was appointed as a Member of the Group Management Committee of Hayleys Advantis Limited in October 2022. Specialising in diverse areas such as shipping, marine solutions, ship chartering, husbandry services, express freight, free zone solutions, handling of cruise and diplomatic calls, air cargo, and project logistics, Mr. Perera’s multifaceted experience adds depth to the leadership team.

His commitment to academic excellence is reflected in his MBA qualification from Buckinghamshire New University in the UK. Mr. Perera’s wealth of experience and academic background position him as a valuable asset within the Hayleys Advantis Group.

Mr. Daluwatte joined the Advantis Group in 1993, establishing the beginning of a successful career within the transportation and logistics industry. His ascent within the company culminated in his appointment to the Advantis Group Management Committee in January 2015, having previously served as a Director of a subsidiary company since 2012.

In 2018, Mr. Daluwatte’s extensive experience in Shipping, Freight Forwarding, Transportation, and Procurement, accumulated over 25 years, played a crucial role in his appointment as the inaugural Country Head of Sri Lanka for Ocean Network Express.
